Recognition for practical hydrogen innovation in maritime shipping
We are proud to share that AURELIA has received the Hydrogen Innovation Award from RINA for our work in advancing hydrogen innovation in the maritime sector.
This recognition is shared with our partners Newlight, Lomarlabs, Lomar Shipping and LISCR, the Liberian Registry. From the start, this project was built on collaboration and trust. It reflects what can happen when organizations commit not just to a vision, but to making that vision work in practice.
This award matters to us because it confirms a core belief that guides our work every day. Decarbonization is not about statements or promises. It is about execution. About designing and delivering solutions that perform in real operational environments, under real constraints.
We want to acknowledge the pioneers in maritime decarbonization who played a key role in bringing this project to life: Stylianos Papageorgiou, Haran Cohen Hillel, Evyatar Cohen, Patrizio Di Francesco, Mircea Rosca, Thomas Klenum and Pino Spadafora. Their expertise, persistence and shared commitment to practical innovation were essential.
We are deeply proud of our team at AURELIA. The project was technically led by Maximiliano Mavica and strategically driven by our Chief Growth Officer, Esmond Keldon. Day to day, Viglione Emmanuel, Leonel Yancsura and Bénédicte Hoofd carried this work forward with focus, care and determination. Their dedication and professionalism made this achievement possible.
